Overview

The EA Desktop App is a digital platform developed by Electronic Arts, designed specifically to manage, purchase, and launch EA games on Windows PCs. Serving as the successor to Origin, this application provides a modernized interface and enhanced performance, aiming to offer players a more responsive and user-friendly experience when accessing their EA game library.

User Interface & Navigation

The app introduces a visually cleaner layout, replacing Origin's bulkier menus with an intuitive and straightforward design. Navigation between features such as the game library, store, and social options is fast and organized, making it simple to find and launch installed games. The search function efficiently locates titles, and the download management tools allow users to monitor the status of installations and updates easily.

Game Library & Account Management

Upon logging in with an EA account, users will find their existing game purchases, progress, and achievements automatically imported from Origin. However, not every title in Origin’s catalog is available on the new app yet, and some legacy titles or DLCs might require additional migration steps.
